No, don't worry, I'm not going to launch into a lengthy comparison of smartphones, and take three pages telling you why Android's open source philosophy is better than Apple's 'closed loop' model for the iPhone… I'm just going to talk about the logo device. Designed by artist Andrew Bell (see more of his work here), This branding element is just cool. And I'm a as 'dyed in the wool' Apple fan as your going to find in these parts.
As you know if you're a regular peruser of my blog, I've also got a minor thing for Robots. See previous posts here, here and here if you missed them (they're worth a look, honest). And I really love the simplicity of this automaton, he really seems to have a cute little personality.
To capitalise on his cuteness, there's a collection of limited edition mini collectibles. Twelve different designs of 3" robots which are 'blind boxed' – basically you take pot luck, and then try and track down the rare ones. They're available here, and in an online Android collectibles shop and in specialty retailers.
